I'm still undecided.
The over the shoulder, to the side, view makes it hard to control. The proton pack firing thingy is really hard to control/capture ghosts. And it's really system instensive, and i don't know why that is.
It's weird. The graphics are probably around Bioshock kind of prettiness, and I run a bit of a monster at the moment, so it should deal with it fine... But it doesn't. Last night on an early level, my computer was lagging all over the place with it with no reason why. It was in a hotel, there was like... Water all flooded throughout and coral all around the place. I think it's because I have the persistent debris thing on. Because there is a fuckload of debris.
I think, like a lot of games, it could have been done better, had more thought gone into it. As it is, movement is really clumsy and a little bit restrictive, and capturing ghosts would be better if it switched views to aid in dragging them towards the traps. It's hard as shit to get a ghost into a trap when you can only really control left/right/up/down, not forward/backward. I don't even know how I've captured the few ghosts that I've gotten already.
It is pretty cool though. I may just be chicken shit, but there's been kickass parts of it where I've got the green spectral goggles on, so it's like I'm looking through night vision, and I've got my PKE meter going nuts in my hands, and then I'll walk up to a table or lamp or some shit, and a ghost will pop up and I will absolutely lose my shit. Not scary, just surprising as fuck.
Which was like the original ghostbusters movie. not that scary, just a cheap surprise every now and then.
The world environment is pretty cool though. You can check out the ghostbusters firehouse. And there's a few awesome things to interact with. Like the answering machine that shows missed calls like "There's like 7 ghosts outside my house near my bin and they look like hobo's!". And there's stuff from the movies in there, like the painting of Vigo the Carpathian, from the second movie... Which is pretty cool, because when you interact with it, the mouth moves and he sez a lot of emo shit like "The souls of men fuel my return" and stuff.
The other cool thing is that it's a little bit L4d like. You play alongside the other ghostbusters, which are bots, and they help you. So if they get knocked down, you gotta run over to revive them, and they gotta do the same.
I'd have to play it all the way through tho for a real sort of good/bad rating of the game.
Although, it'd really be better if they put in some co-op support. It'd be fun as shit to bust ghosts with someone. Or even do a versus hide and go seek thing maybe, where maybe there is a team of ghosts, and a team of ghostbusters, ghosts gotta get all ghostbusters down, ghostbusters gotta trap all ghosts.
That would be cool, but they didn't do it.

Yeah... Great concepts, terribly executed.
Game is retarded and is slow in some places for absolutely no reason.
Your view of character and surroundings, awkward at best.
Gameplay, fun for the first 3-4 missions, boring for the rest: Same shit, over and over.
Character Movement, absolutely horrible.
The PC version is just a port from console. They TOOK AWAY FEATURES that were in the console versions, like co-op, to bring it to the PC.
Storyline, just okay. Lots of plot holes, and it looks like it was mish mashed together from concepts from the first and second movie by a preschooler with down syndrome.
Replayability, poor. There's pretty much just career mode, where you go through the storyline. There's no forums or news or support for the game. Not even a forum. The game you buy off the shelf is the game it will be forever, no updates. No multiplayer. Very little features in the game. Even the "in game unlocks" that provide extra content, are piss poor at the very best.
Basically, the game is a movie. There's very little challenge to it, when you know the basics. The voice acting, and the ghostbusters IP is the ONLY interesting thing about the game. It's like watching a movie, and having to press buttons to keep the movie playing.
When the fuck are they going to make a GOOD ghostbusters game?
I've played snes ghostbusters game better than this steaming pile of shit.
I paid 50 bucks for it. Don't pay more than 10. Wait till it's bargain bin, or available on steam for like 3.99.
It's only worth that much because it's like a direct continuation of the two movies.
Oh, and the only other good thing about it is how generic your character is in the game, how they never refer to him by a name other than rookie or cadet, and that he looks like the most generic looking 21-24 year old american boy. Or possibly like a younger, more retarded Dan Akroyd.

it is terrible.
and I'm not playing it anymore. I got to a stage that was just so goddamn ridiculously stupid and impossible to get past... This is on normal by the way, when the rest of the game is a cakewalk.
So I uninstalled it, and put it away, vowing never to reinstall the thing until they release an update.
Since they never will, it will just sit in my cupboard until the end of time.
Thinking of starting up another Dragon Age game.
