I think chat is ok but i am too much of a lazy nigger to sit on chat... maybe if it was always on the side of the page when you were on buttpie or somethin idk. basically i am trying to get across that i am too lazy to even keep a web page open and check it...
i just use it for

OK so here's what we're thinking for new buttpie:
Private site -- you must login to see anything other than a pretty picture on the front page.
Completley simplified -- the site will just be the forum & none of the extraneous stuff (i reserve the right to build some of that stuff in later as I see fit).
FOURM -- thats right no plural! There will only be a list of threads -- topics will be handled by tags that will work better than they curently do.
WEB TWO POINT OH -- you're gonna need a recent browser with javascript support to view the site. In fact because it's all behind a login and we're not showing google anything everything on the site will be loaded via ajax.
Chat on every page -- hopefully it will get a bit more use that way!
Making BPcode easier -- if young hilikus gets off his ass maybe this time we'll have nice little buttons that you can press to inset a youtube video and shit like that.
Entirley new ranking system -- you'll see!
Here's what won't happen:
Posts & Profiles moving across to new site -- all posts will go & you'll need to register again. Registration will be easy as kissing a dude though (no more email confirmation). That means your precious rank will go as well (good thing because we're almost at the limit of the current system).
Now is the time to tell us what you would liek to see/think about the new ideas.

Chat feature on this site sucks. Probably because it's no longer 1997 and I've got better things to do (like look at horse porn) than sit in a chat room all day. Maybe if I had portable wireless connection that was logged into Buttpie 24/7 it would make this better.

I tried that but since there is no "send" button on the text box my iphone can't send messages.

i was thinking about getting way crazy with something like an xmpp server for buttpie chat but i dunno how many people would actually use it to make the development time worth it.
