Incredibly slow paced game with a shitload of micromanagement. I definitely enjoyed playing it but its the type of game you can play for a week straight and feel like you haven't made any real progress.

Yeah 14 day demo seems like it will be interesting enough, see if I want to keep playing after that.

Tangent played it and got me to once or twice, like Mareg said it is ultra complicated, but kind of cool, and the complication is integrated in a decent way unlike Sins of a Solar Empire imo

You need like a full week just to learn how to play the game. Give it a bit longer you may end up really liking it.

Shaniq and I played for like 3 months. IT IS A GREAT GAME. Problem is, there is NO LEVEL CAP, it's just and utter and complete fuck ton of skills that there is no way to speed up learning. Since the game has been out as long as WoW, there simply is no way to overcome the 7 year time differential.
If they opened a completely new server or launched a brand new sequel, I would totally play, otherwise, sorry, there's just absolutely no way to overcome a 7 year disadvantage.
Also, the game is very, very, very much theory based, it's not about who's the fastest clicker and shit, though there is some skill involved in PvP, the majority of the outcomes are decided long before you start shooting because 95% of the game is ship class and equipped weapons, which you can't change anywhere except in a starbase. All in all, it's a much slower game and it would have been fun as fuck if we had started playing years ago.
