Until the corpse of Jackie Robinson rises from the dead to break the color barrier once again.
Here's the real question... how much are they going to charge us?

Is WOW and their future MMO going to be integrated into this new Battle.net thing?

Ya Telly. You can already merge your WoW account to your new Battle.net account.

I assume D3 will be using this? If so that sounds pretty awesome. I was never a huge fan of B-Net but if they're copying something from Steam then it can't be bad. Although if they do copy anyone... Battlefield Bad Company has probably the best matchmaking ever.

the problem with this shit is that everyone is rolling their own so you need to be running a different app for each system. then there are games that use multiple systems (that recent wh game used steam/gfw).
i like steam the best but what a fucking pile if i have to roll with like 3 different systems.

Basically Copying Xbox Live(they actually said xbox live at the panel) and Steam. Going to have a party system so you and a group of friends can easily join a game together. When the leader joins a game everyone follows. Going to have a IM window style chat like steam has in game. You will always be signed into Bnet with the same account now so you can have your friends list span cross games/realms and talk to people playing wow while your on SC and see what game people are playing on your friends list. Looks like cool stuff if we are all playing a dif bliz game.

Much improved matchmaking. After playing for a while, players will compete within colored leagues...think gold, silver, etc. Within each league, players compete against 100 other players of their own skill level. For casual players, there is a practice league, which slows down the gameplay with anti-rush maps to let them get used to the game. Also no making new accounts now to face noobs. Everything is tied to one account.
Also most importantly someone proposed to his GF at blizzcon and she said yes.
