THANK YOU. It's not just gaming, either; virtually all major movies/tv/music/games/etc. that are touted as "new" these days are, for the most part, just vamped-up, reskinned, covered remakes (or adaptations from print/game to film) of something that was released between 5 and 50 years ago. There is virtually no originality or creativity being displayed in the entertainment industry, as the corporate entities that own most of the major production companies (thank you Reagan and Clinton for deregulating the shit out of everything) learned long ago that it is much cheaper and more profitable to produce easily marketable, cookie-cutter products than it is to expend the necessary resources to try and break through the clutter. Especially seeing as the main target audiences for marketing companies are children, because they control a shit-ton of parental buying power (especially in today's time when parents just worship their children and can't refuse them anything or discipline/control them), and women from the ages of 25-54, because they are dumb cunts who spend all their husbands' money on whatever is advertised between General Hospital and Days of Our Lives.
