You said in another thread that you worked for a short while at Sony and EQ 3 is in the works but years off? What if any info do you have on the game? I'm pretty curious.... Quote

You have a list of abilities that varies depending on your class, and interact with others around the world in a giant environment, working together to accomplish common goals, find treasure, and gain experience to become more powerful.

Oh wait that's not EQ 3 that is every other MMO ever made. I'm sure EQ 3 will be much different. Quote

I worked on the original EQ the Serpent's Spine, Buried Sea and Secrets of Faydwer so I can't really say much about EQ3. Then again, when I say, "years off" that is based on the fact that they had barely started in the planning and procurement stages in 2007 to recruit people for their "next-gen mmo". since it's been 2 years, maybe they've made some progress.

I don't know about how long their development time takes but assuming they're half as thorough as blizzard, their development time should range anywhere from 3-6 years. Quote

I dunno, I just worked there. EQ is a PvE oriented game and they're only now starting to incorporate more PvP and PvP functionalities.

Personally, I just think that SOE games are going downhill. Sony had its heyday with Everquest, (arguably planetside and SWG too) but EQ 2 was awful and Vanguard was simply unplayable on release. Quote

Yea.. Everquest really hit the skids Sony bought out Verant and Brad McQuaid was no longer part of the developmental team. Quote

I just had a vietnam vet talk in front of my class and the best part was when he talked about how he plays warhammer. Quote

I just read a post from Sif and the best part was when it ended Quote

I just jerked off to a picture of pentiums blowing bubbles at me for the 300th time and the best part was when you blew bubbles at me. Quote

I just watched the 87th time I wrecked Arizona at Soul Calibur III and the best part was when I got to go to sleep after finally losing. Quote

My favorite part was beating your ass left and right with Taki. The only game you are good at is button mashers in mario party. Quote
