I am exerting every iota of my being into making sure that this project does not get off the ground.

I don't know what Google Wave is, but it has "Wave" in the name.

Do you know what else is a wave? TSUNAMI'S.

Do you know what creates Tsunami's?

JEWS.

I'm sorry, man. But I just can't be a part of this.
Maybe one day, you'll see things the way I do.

it's THE FUTURE OF THE INTERNET TELLY Quote

They should just incorporate it into gmail, I see absolutely no reason to split the two.... Quote

This is actually enormously useful in business with older people. My dad and I used it today. He isn't that great at computers but when I was just able to effectively paste an image into an email while talking to him in real time he like had an aneurysm..

Now, effective absorption rate among people like him, I don't know... Quote

How are you guys using it? Did you have to get chrome or something?

IE is ballsack slow. Quote

Posted Posted: 3 years ago

I can see how it would be useful in business, but the business I work at already has a fully functional email/im system so they have no need for something that is basically identical if only slightly more real-time. Quote

We just both used it in IE, so he could see how it works.

Unfortunately all of the subscription/cookie-based real estate search tools only support IE, which pretty much keeps everyone in the industry on IE. It kind of sucks, but a lot of testing (even by B-team sites like Daily Tech) has shown that IE 8 is actually the most secure browser for low-knowledge users - and I hate dealing with people getting malware and shit when I really don't get paid to.

Tony probably gets at least one malware attack a week from "not being able to resist" opening self-contained email videos that promise pictures of boobs. Quote

That could be BS, and my own experience could be anecdotal...but talking bare, as they come browsers, research says that IE 8 is much better at blacklisting and stopping malware and phishing than the other browsers.

Interesting. I don't doubt that with the sandboxing that they implemented in ie8 it's way more secure than the previous versions, but then they say this:Microsoft-sponsored research puts this block rate at 81 percent versus the next closest competitor -- Firefox -- at 27 percent. This may be a bit of an exaggeration, but Microsoft deserves praise for its progress on this front.
Really, guys? FF uses google's lists so i'd place a bit more faith in them, but w/e. I'm a nerd so customizability & speed count to me, although not necessarily in that order... Quote

Firefox is slow as fuck lately, it's aggravating as hell. I don't know what they did but the bloated the shit out of it. I'm using Opera right now, which isn't my favorite browser, but it doesn't constantly stall out loading webpages like my Firefox seems to do. Quote

Firefox seems fine to me. Haven't had any problems with it.

Still runs just as well now as when I installed it ages ago. Quote

I don't even have time to take a shit anymore because websites load so fast.

Seriously my intestines are at like 90% capacity. Quote

I have Chrome installed but rarely use it. It's just ugly as hell and it seems like it is missing stuff that would be real basic to want to have (search bar, favorites bar, better options configurations). Quote
