Okay... So far the only things I have looked at are:
Cultivation:
In cultivation, it's weird. You actually have to watch it and pay attention to it because it takes about 2 minutes to successfully cultivate a plant. How it works is that you have to have a seedling. I'm pretty sure that's basically all you need. I haven't failed a cultivation thing yet, but I'm sure if you only use a seedling, you're going to fail at some point or another.
So, you put the seedling in a cultivation slot, and you see it appear in the imagey thing. The next thing you can choose to do from that point, is to add a certain type of soil to speed up the seedling stage (I think). Once that's done, it moves onto whatever a plant does when it grows out of seedling stage, which is like plant something. I don't know, I'm not a plant doctor, and if I was, I'd be out there breeding plants that would destroy us all.
But, yeah, when if goes out of the seedling stage, you can then choose to water it, by using a water thingy from your inventory. Then it becomes a small plant or something. Or maybe a puppy. I do so like puppies. Or maybe it becomes a phallic object, but I'm pretty sure it's more likely to become a tiny plant. Anyway, you can choose to give that plant nutrients, and then once that stage is over, you can harvest the plant and plant another one.
Now, this is a boring process, but you can do it while in combat, if you've got azn fingers, reflexes, and attention. The good news is, is that if you level it up enough, there are 3 more seperate cultivation boxes that you can unlock, so you can have a total of 4 going at the same time.
Honestly, I'm not sure why anyone would bother with this until they've gotten to 40. It's an extremely dull process.
Apothecary:
This is a bit more interesting than cultivation. Unfortunately, and I'm going to go out on a limb here, but cultivation is the gathering class that matches up to apothecary, so pairing these two talents will save you money in the short run. Of course, FUCK cultivation.
So, how it works. It's easy as pie. You need a container, and a main ingrediant. First thing's first, you put the container in the Apothecary window thingy. Hurray! You have an empty container. If you want it to remain empty, close the window and go do some PvP. However, if you want to make some potions, you can put in your main ingrediant. Now, as an added helpful feature, they've put an informative text line in there that lets you know if your ingredients thus far will net you a potion. If they won't, it will tell you straight out. If they won't, you can add in a primer or a helper or something. A secondary ingrediant that will improve the odds of the potion succeeding. You can have up to 3 secondary ingrediants.
Now, when this is done, the thing you will note when you make your potion is that there is a slide bar that's going up and down, which you have no control over. This is your quality bar, or something. When the slider is at the top, and it coincides that your potion gets made at the exact moment it hits the top, you will get an awesome quality potion, which will be far better than you'll usually get from those ingredients. If it's in the middle range, you'll get the potion you kind of expected to make. If it's at the bottom, your potion will fail.
It's actually an interesting profession. There's no such thing as formula's or recipes. You can make anything, so far as you have the ingredients to make them. Which means no boring dungeon crawling to get some good shit.
Recommendations: Okay, after playing a few of the races, I've come to the conclusion that you're going to be better off going Apothecary/Cultivation if you're a Dwarf or a Greenskin (orc/goblin). Why? Because you get kill Squig quests and shit, and those little motherfuckers drop seeds and shit. Saves you money at low levels for doing fuck all, and that's good because you need to be a little bit money conscious at lower levels because buying new abilities isn't cheap.
