Me Ruth and xicisor have all subscribed and are playing on the us server gorfang. There seems to have been a lot of improvements in the game especially for orvr. This server seems quite well populated with constant pvp goin on so if you are interested in giving it a shot again let us know. Quote

Waiting for The Old Republic. That is all. Quote

Boourns to you guys. There is no way in fuck I'm making another WH main.

I enjoy it on my oceanic server.

I'll roll an alt there with you guys, if you're going to have your own guild.
But that's all I think I'll be able to manage. My Witch Hunter on Darklands is too pimp to abandon. Quote

Level 13-17 = all RvR.

Yesterday I was able to find warbands from the early morning until late night, so population is damn good, but I don't blame you for not wanting to quit your main....leveling takes a bit of time in this game.

I'm playing a Slayer atm, but I am probably rolling a Witch Hunter next!

Also I don't think we will be starting out own guild, if we had more people I'd do it but otherwise its not worth the time and effort at the moment. Probably gonna join some random guild for awhile. Quote

Fuck that man. Roll a Witch Hunter now.

Hands down, it's the most goddamn fun class at 40 that I've ever played.

I'm wearing all Conq gear, with about 1063 strength when all buffed and I can get up to about 26% crit.

Fuck man, when I roll out, I seriously roll out. I get killing blow, after killing blow, after killing blow.

I pick locks inside keeps, find solo defenders working seige engines, unstealth behind them and kill them in less than 10 seconds.

It's the most goddam fun class I've ever played and probably will ever play, I swear. And they look goddamn pimp. Quote

You are very convincing.... Quote

Don't listen to him. Pentiums peaked and crashed in his mmo career years ago.

I, however, have been riding the tiger for a good long time now, and I'm now a juggernaut of destructive capability, and will continue to be into the forseeable future.

Roll a WH. Don't be a pussy. Quote

only problem with WH is that it is a bit of a puss class till you really get geared and can drop people that quickly. Ruthlessness isn't a man of patience, he'll start crying when he has to lvl a char that isn't beastly OP from the start. Quote

Bah. I may end up joining you guys anyway, if the oceanic server population continues to die. Quote

Yeah, I won't lie. That's where the game falls down the hardest. Gorfang has a really decent population I hear though.

That was the developers fault. They released the game at least 6 months too early. It had great initial interest, and then fell short of everyones expectations.

I also won't lie when I say the game can still be awesome fun, at times. I know on our oceanic server, we had some freaking huge skirmishes at went on for about 6 hours or longer. Seriously freaking huge.
Never seen anything so cool as when you see about 60+ destro all running towards you and the 50+ order around you. Even more cool when your standing at the end of it.
No lag either. Yes, they fixed that. Quote

I like the game, but there are still major problems that were never addressed:

1) There are too many servers that are too unpopulated for a game entirely based around open zone pvp. They should just merge like every server into 8-10 servers.

2) The game rules in Tier 1, is alright in Tier2, and then drops off hard after Tier 2. It's just an AOE/CC fest. Tier 3 is just a massive long boring grind across way too many zones that were way too big that takes way too long and the PVP is just not balanced well. I never made it to Tier 4. The game should have been much more compacted and forced a lot more pressure fighting during quest areas.

3) The New WOW BG is insanely fun, I can instant queue for any BG/Arena 24 hours a day and get whatever I want to play against equal # opponents. This 3.2 WOW patch really balanced out the PVP well too. I hate that almost 5 years later I'm still playing WOW, and I've taken several month long breaks here and there in the past few years, but until something that is better comes out (which seems unlikely) it's going to remain in my rotation for awhile. 1) They've done that. Latest round of server merges will leave about 11 servers remaining.

2) Yeah, leveling is still a bitch, but it's not too bad compared to the WoW grind. As for the AOE/CC fest, they've largely addressed that. Bright Wizards and Sorc's have been toned down a lot. AOE ranges have been reduced for damage and healing abilities. CC has been decreased heaps to where its manageable. True, I'll admit that the pvp still isn't balanced perfectly, but that's mainly just the class balance at this stage, and even then its that Witch Hunters are the best class. It is pretty balanced with large scale skirmishes though. Forts, keeps, end game is being addressed with the next patch, as is my understanding.
As for compacted PvP, I'm on a core server at the moment, and I like it better than I ever did the Openrvr server. The RvR is compacted to the RvR area's, and that's where the bulk of the population during primetime and around primetime hangs out.

3) Fuck WoW.

Also, if I can somehow get my old WH on Gorfang, I'm going to roll it there. You guys did roll order right? Either way, I'll either fuck shit up with you, or fuck your shit up. Quote

Posted Posted: 3 years ago

Ya we rolled Order, and so far I am greatly enjoying WH.

Tier 2 is like x10 better than tier 1 btw, at least on that server. No idea how t3 and t4 looks yet. Quote

Posted Posted: 3 years ago

From what I've heard of gorefang t4, scenario's pop CONSTANTLY. No matter what time of day. Quote

Posted Posted: 3 years ago

Gorfang is also a core server and I didn't like it a first but the pvp is so focused in the rvr zones that you can go out there an almost be guaranteed to find massive groups of people rolling around. The fact that you can easily max out all 3 influence rewards for the rvr zones in each realm in a single day shows just how mu8ch action is going on in these zones. I do hope that it continues through tier 3 and 4 as well. If the rest of the game is any bit near as improved as tier 1 and 2 have been then I see no reason to not play this game. Quote

I really liked the WH class as well was playing ruth's lvl 9 guy. We should roll out a 3 man wrecking team and just gang bang bitches all day and all night. Quote

Vernand said:No lag either. Yes, they fixed that.

I notice a bit of lag, especially when I'm healing (that might be my connection, though). And the game does this weird thing when I heal someone... when I cast a heal, I'll immediately see their bar jump up for the amount I heal for a split second, then go back down, and then after half a second or so, goes up to the same amount. Quote

I get no lag and no slowdown at all, even in 60 vs 60 keep battles, but that little healing glitch does happen. I've gotten used to though. I am not sure why it does that and if it is intentional or not, but it doesn't seem to interfere with the game. Quote
