Grats on that 1423 2v2 rating.

pvp rating now only reflects the number of hours you invested into getting it

wait uh, didn't it always?

there was a day when pvp rating was based on how many guilds you got to quit the server because they couldnt win a single AB game

Ive done barely and arena matches since WOTLK, the pvp is terrible compared to pve, hence is why im in a team with a shit healer just to get points every week

PvE cannot possibly be better than PvP

WHAT THE FUCK IS PVE?
On a more serious note: The "Hardest Instance" on hard mode, or whatever the fuck can be done with 6 people on heroic mode, in fact, Blizzard has tuned it so that it's SUPPOSED to be done with like 8 people on heroic mode, they even give you a fucking achievement and a fucking pat on the back like you've accomplished something when, all along, it was supposed to be easy.
It's literally, "Hey, give us 15 bucks a month and we'll give you free purples."
Last time I checked, we didn't play for gear, we played to crush people and talk shit about them all day on the forums afterward. My 15 bucks a month pays for access to forums and all the smack talk I can fit into the 24 hours in a day.

PvE carebears are like people who brag about beating Marvel vs. Capcom 2 with a 3 Servbot team on max difficulty but will never play you
Sure, they're good, but no one gives a shit

Ok, look, I worked at Blizzard for half a year last year and for all of three days, I was YOUR VERY OWN (junior) Paladin Class Balance Developer. Let me just say to you - in simple English - Blizzard does not care about you.
I had the privilege(?) to speak to people like Jeff Kaplan (Tigole), and Tom Chilton (Kalgan) and others and do you know what they all told me? The guy that plays WoW 20 hours a day pays the same subscription fee as the guy that plays WoW 20 hours a week, who in turn, pays the same amount as the guy who plays 20 hours a month. In fact, the guy that plays WoW 20 hours a day pays the same amount of money as the guy who plays WoW Zero hours a month, as long as he has an active account.
And seriously, there are accounts out there, hundreds of thousands if not millions of them that sit, unused for months. Before Burning Crusade came out, WoW database programmer shared an interesting fact with me, almost 40% of all ACTIVE WoW accounts didn't have a max level toon on it. Shit, Blizzard could take a shit in a box and sell it and 40% of the fucking WoW population wouldn't know the difference. (Maybe there is no difference.)
Just because gamers like the douchebags on this website make 98% of the noise on the WoW forums, we only make up about 3% of the actual subscribers to Blizzard's game, what the fuck do they care if they make a game that's fun for us? Answer: They don't which is why the game is so easy, the PvP is so broken and the content is so lacking.
Activision Blizzard posted revenues of just under 3 Billion USD last year.
http://www.nasdaq.com/asp/ExtendFund.asp?selected=ATVI&symbol=ATVI
Of that 3 billion dollars, Blizzard alone stood for about 1.2 Billion of it. Assuming they ACTUALLY sold copies of old shit like Diablo, Warcraft and Starcraft, WoW still pulled in probably a Billion USD. What incentive does the Activision or Blizzard have to make the game difficult so that only a small fraction of the subscribers can actually experience things like MC/BWL/AQ? When BC launched, the single most trafficked instance in the game? SCARLET FUCKING MONASTERY.
LFM SM CATH ONLY! PST! Anybody?
I mean, seriously, why play a game that's fucking easy. Back when we played, entire guilds would be stuck on shit like Baron Gheddon, it took weeks, if not months for guilds some world firsts (Four Horsemen, anybody?) Back then, I'd almost say I was okay with PvEing because at least back then, it was a challenge, nowadays, PUGs clear Naxx and content is cleared within hours of being released. Shit, didn't Nihilum go from 70-80 and clear Naxx in less than a week from WotLK release?
PvP is broken, there's no fucking reason to play that game. Nobody runs PvP groups, and if they do, it's certainly NOT to play against other people. Arenas are a joke, you said it yourself, which really doesn't help your case considering how hot and heavy we get about PvP in this forum . . . Fuck, I met every single person on this forum through PvP, whether it was through Immune or GroveStreet.
And PvE, hell, clearing an endgame raid instance on heroic nowadays is like winning the Special Olympics: Even if you win, you're still retarded.

which is something we have all been realizing for years, hence almost all of us quitting

Well, no, I don't think it's been years, if it has, it's only been a bit over one year, I think. Classic WoW was great, I don't think a single person has a problem with it, the PvE was challenging, the PvP (when it was finally implemented) was fun as fuck. I think BC had some problems but for the most part.
I felt that the first season of Arena was a breath of fresh air for PvPers like us, it was fun, it was challenging. Unfortunately I think we all got a little to caught up in our Arena ratings. I think what sucked was the way it fragmented us. Certain players grouped together, pushed for Gladiator titles, the Aussies got dicked out of basically any Arenaing because the lag was too painful to watch. And what's worse is that after the first season of it, who really cared anyway? The vast majority of people that qualified for the regional and world championships had illegal accounts that were bought or traded.
This was the downfall of the game for Blizzard. They had the choice of keeping the prize money and eliminating the majority of the best players on earth, OR, they could eliminate the prize money and let everybody who qualified play for bragging rights. Unfortunately, Blizzard - the corporation chose the former, instead of listening to Blizzard - the Gaming company and letting the hardcore players get their day in the sun.
There were some good times, but yeah, those days are over.
