Well, you could have just used it as a noun.
For example, "Joselito get some comments already or I will base hit on which a batter scores a run (dinger) you in the face".

Well vernand the point was that I rarely use dinger as a verb so I wanted to try it out.
don't make me dinger you in the dinger until the batter scores a dinger.

A literary MacGuyver is probably the most boring kind of MacGuyver ever. Unless there is a chess MacGuyver out there then I'm not sure.

I don't know. A literary MacGuyver could be interesting. He could string together a novel out of 3 verbs, a conjuction, and a personal pronoun.
Chess MacGuyver would be pretty interesting too. He could win a game of chess with 2 monopoly peices and some dice.
