nah shellfish are "bottom-dwellers" and are therefore unclean. There is actually a real basis to this. Without modern day cleaning techniques shellfish could be really dangerous to eat in large quantities because they eat a lot of unclean shit on the ocean floor. As ridiculous as kosher laws are nowadays they were really beneficial back in the day. Jews are tricky sons of bitches that know how to get by.
